Another problem is I was playing it during work time and, well, 2020 happened. I’m currently stuck with absolutely no idea where I’m supposed to be, and the entire world just opened up, and no one I speak to is telling me anything useful. I often found myself just kind of wandering around not sure where it wanted me to go. This game has some real trouble with its signposting. A little sad at the end, but we expected that. Yes, it was a ragequit, but life is too short to put up with marksman tanks.įinished it not long after my writeup, it’s cute and would be a fun game to play with a kid. I wasn’t completely sold on the stealth part of this stealth game, considering I could clear my throat and every enemy soldier from here to Timbuktu would immediately come crashing towards my exact location, but I stuck with it.Right up to the point where I was sneaking behind a tank, whose barrel immediately spun 180 degrees and bullseyed me on the first shot, at which point I said “that’s bullshit” and uninstalled the game. I am sure there are Optimal builds, but playing casually you can literally just do anything There are loads of passives too but they’re kind of lame and you just sort of put your excess skill points in them to make yourself passively stronger. So there is a huge amount of player choice in how you build your character! I remember getting loads of advice from my friends but also just thinking to myself “but this skill though.” (i am so sorry). All of them have 5 skills that you unlock as you level that tree, and all of those skills can be morphed into one of two “strong” versions of that skill once you level that specific skill. Your class has three unique trees, then there’s like a tree for every weapon type, for mage and fighter’s guild, this weird guild called the undaunted, werewolf and vampire, probably more I forgot about. I think the way you pick your abilities is really cool - you level up a whole bunch of different skill trees at a time, and you can slot any ability from any tree at any time (other than weapon skills specifically, you must be weilding that weapon) into your 10 slots. However, a cold sweat on the back of her neck reminded her how much she did not want to do that as she found herself knocking on the door and awaiting an answer. Himiko took a deep breath, feeling suddenly anxious for a different reason, silently wondering if she should jump ship, simply go back to her own room and continue the feeble attempt to get to sleep on her own. While slightly difficult to navigate in the dark, she eventually found her destination. Throwing caution to the wind, she scrambled out of her bed and out of her designated bedroom, somewhat relieved to see that the large center area was empty, everyone else likely asleep. She instinctively gasped and hugged her arms around herself, feeling as though the walls of the dark bedroom were closing in on her and it was getting more difficult to breathe. This little prickle began increasing more and more before she suddenly sat up, feeling a chill run down her spine. It was incredibly frustrating, the poor girl only wanted some shut eye! Who knew that what was supposed to be the easiest thing for someone to do would end up being such a pain?Īfter what felt like hours of unsuccessfully trying to sleep, Himiko simply resorted to just staring blankly up at the ceiling, a prickle of anxiety eating away at her slowly but surely. She’d even attempted a few sleeping spells to ease her weary mind, but she’s noticed that ever since she’s been stuck in this school, her magic wasn’t nearly as powerful as it used to be. She tossed and turned in bed, unable to quiet her mind down enough for even a moment of rest. However, despite this, two so-called class trials and four of her classmates dead later, Himiko was suddenly stricken with a case of insomnia. Typically, the mage’s day to day life already exhausted her enough, but throw in literally fearing for her life any time she left her room, and needing to debate so she and the rest of her classmates weren’t all slaughtered? This increase in likelihood of death was really beginning to take a toll on the already chronically sleepy girl. Even with how awful things had been so far, Himiko never struggled to sleep.
